Listening to Your Soul

Who am I?

What do I really want?

If I could contribute one thing to this world, what would it be? Why?

These are the questions I have been asking myself lately. I’ve been slowing down for the first time in years and really listening. I’m listening beyond the voice in my head, beyond my ego’s subtle, and not so subtle, desires and aversions. I am listening to my Soul-- the part of me that dwells deep inside.

These questions seem so basic, but they are really important. And the more I sit with them, like really sit with them, the deeper they take me into me, into my core values and my true intent for being here on this little spinning planet.

Today, as I sit with these questions, they reveal this:

Who am I?

I am light. A warm, radiating light. I am good and kind. I love Love. I am a speck of consciousness that is awakening, opening, growing and delighting in the process.

What do I really want?

I want love. I want support and connection. I want to feel joy and deep contentment. I want to touch the magic of being alive. I want to feel fully seen and loved just as I am. I want to lovingly support myself and others to open to who we truly are.

If I could contribute one thing to this world, what would it be? Why?

I would contribute compassionate awareness & awakening to this world— supporting people to awaken to life and their true selves with unbounded compassion, kindness and love. Why would I do this? Because it delights me to spread love into all the little dark crevices of shame and fear within humanity and this planet. And… I want to do this because so many of us are trying to grow and “better” ourselves, but we are missing the KEY ingredient: LOVE. The only true and lasting transformation and healing occurs because of self-love and inner-compassion.

Mmmm… it feels nice to share this.

I invite you to ask yourself: Who am I? What do I really want? And if I could contribute one thing to this world, what would it be? Why?
